Its been a while since the Cydia developers are trying to improve the App Switcher tray and task management in OS. Some of the apps take the way of automatically uncluttering the RAM at regular intervals and some others add the App Switcher to unlikely areas of OS. AppSwiper is entirely a different app and always lets you keep an even on your memory usage. With the help of this app, apps that are currently using in the background are distinguished from others right on the Spring Board. AppSwiper lights up the name of all active apps, and even lets you kill any app you want with a single swipe on the Home screen.
AppSwiper now also adds a menu to the settings app, and all its features can be configured from here. For visual changes, you can select the color of the highlighting bar that shows up behind the app label. There are some decent options available in the said section but if you want more variety, try setting a different opacity level for your favorite color.
And now just go to SpringBoard and open any app and you will see that the app's icon label lights up with the chose color. And just swipe upwards, in case you want to kill it. And they also shows a confirmation message before removing. Then they shows a confirmation dialog box displaying complete memory details of that particular app and if still you want to remove it just hit 'Kill' button. It is also possible to overcome the complete confirmation process by turning of the 'Confirmation Alert' option from the tweak's settings.
And about its defect, this swipe gesture only works with apps that are on the Home screen, and is ineffective for apps inside folders. Also, the folder light never turns on, even when all the apps inside it are active. But apart from these issues you can purchase the app by spending 99 cents or free if you have purchased the app named Auto App Killer. The app works for all devices above iOS 6.
