HTC Smart - Brew OS Interface
What if HTC Smart has something new to be defined then its Brew. HTC is having for the first time in having a Play with Brew on its devices and the luck goes to HTC Smart. The company targets at keeping a unique operating system and to make over both windows phone and Android. The UI comes with a new design that is easy to use.
When you are on the home, there you can find something that is similar to that of the HTC's clock/date/weather app. Flick left and right so that you can find 6 more screens, which is being loaded with apps, including shortcuts Facebook integrated, twitter app and lots more. Which upon your convenience can be customized with a total choice of 10 app on offer, but for Brew you cant load things and change as you do in Android. But however, can arrange the apps within a page and add other shortcuts. Each of the page can be though of almost as an individual app. For that you can add three of you wished app to be placed at the bottom of the page, Flick the page and you can add more 3 X 6 at each 6 pages which leads this in bringing up three pages of apps arranged in grid of nine.
The back button can also doubles as the home button so that tapping it once takes you back a step while holding it down takes you home and tapping it again brings up the aforementioned apps. The little button above left of the back button is a context-sensitive menu button.
Press it when on the central home-screen and it lets you customize the home-screen layout, change the theme or wallpaper, or go to the main settings page. Press it when in the web browser and you get Back and Forward buttons, Bookmarks, etc. Press it when in the messages app and you can start a new message, delete a message, etc. You get the picture.
Upon my personal review if found that the main interface just looks likes a mix of Palm Pre's Web OS and Android. So here you may get slightly abstract app management and streamlined interface of the former but with a little bit of he latter's particularly due to its extra buttons benefit result is initially something good indeed.
