Mentor Graphics unveils hypervisor for multicore processors and multi-OS consolidation supports Nucleus RTOS, Mentor Volcano AUTOSAR software, and Android.
 
Mentor Graphics has announced its new Mentor Embedded Hypervisor product for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems, telematics, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and instrumentation. The Mentor Embedded Hypervisor is a small footprint Type 1 hypervisor developed for intelligent connected devices and embedded applications.

Mentor Embedded Hypervisor helps the developers in making high performance systems that can integrate and consolidate the applications on multicore processors and make also helps in the use of the ARM TrustZone. Development of new systems can be accelerated by reusing existing proprietary software and protecting intellectual property while incorporating Linux to leverage the open source ecosystem, the company said.
