Amazon Releases Kindle Fire OS 3.1 Update, Takes On Chromecast With 'Second Screen'


For the users of Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX, Amazon has brought in a new software update. Newly updated OS version 3.1 is the integration of Goodreads, which now ties in directly to whatever you're reading. You also an now "fling" video content to your TV, provided you're using a PlayStation 3 or Samsung Television. Amazon also has improved enterprise and BYOD support. Printing support also was added.

You can wait for the update, or you can directly download and install it directly from Amazon.

  • Print from Your Kindle Fire: Print Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, photos, e-mails, calendar events, and contact information from your Kindle Fire to a printer that supports mobile printing.

  • Free up storage space with 1-Tap Archive: With 1-Tap Archive, your Kindle Fire groups all content that has not been used recently so you can move it to the Cloud with just one tap.

  • Enhanced enterprise features: Manage security certificates and connect to your company’s Wi-Fi network—whether you’re at home or at work—with remote VPN capabilities.

Jailbreakers: It is safe to update to iOS 7.0.3, only if you’re on iOS 7/7.0.1/7.0.2

Apple released iOS 7.0.3 on 22 Oct 2013, with a number of Bugs being fixed and other improvements. Android L Preview Images Are Now Available For Nexus 5 And 2013 Nexus 7

Its been a while since Android L took the tech world by storm thanks to material design, the new recent menu, improved notifications, and Project Volta. Still plenty of time away from the final release, Google has provided developer preview images that can be installed on end user devices.
