According to the Microsoft's next-generation console, the Xbox One will require a day one patch as it was just like that of the PlayStation 4. For the worst next Xbox, you wont be able to play any games nor do nothing on it until you have the update being fully installed on the device.
Luckily Microsoft has made an offline version of the day one patch available for manual installation via USB drive.

Its recommended to use the steps after reading the full guide on the Xbox Official website. This steps are highly advanced, so you may please avoid doing it if you don't know where you are up to. We wont be responsible for any mistakes made, so you may please try out this at your own risk.
According to the Microsoft : that this Emergency Update (EUO) is available for systems that are experiencing trouble connecting to an Xbox Live server for the necessary files. Here the idea is to load the EUO onto a USB drive just in case there are issues when booting up your console and connecting to an Xbox Live server.
So to get started you will need to have some requirements
1 - A USB flash drive formatted as NTFS with a minimum 2 gigabytes (GB) of space
2 - A PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
Now you will need to follow the guide on the Xbox website, you'll boot he comsole using the USB drive being plugged in with the necessary files - seriously, read the guide) and the OS will then automatically copy across and mount the update file. The update should then progress through as normal and you'll be able to upgrade the system to the current build.
That's all you need to go on with.
