The main principle behind the photographic composition is the "Rule of Thirds" which says that "an image should be imagined in such a way that it is divided into 9 equal parts and the most important elements in that full image should be placed along these lines or intersections"

So if you need to enable the grid lines in the camera app, then follow the steps given below to enable it.
Camera grid option is not something new, but for here the option to enable the grid lines has been moved from the camera app to the stetting option.
Here is how to enable it.
Step 1 - Open the settings and go to "Photos & Camera"

Step 2 - Now scroll down to the Camera section and turn on the switch against the Grid option.

Step 3 - After enabling this, you can quickly switch back to the Camera app using the Control Center.
To shoot the image accordingly using the Rule of Thirds, you should position the camera in such a way that the main subject is to be placed on the 4 points of intersections in the center or along the lines.
If you need this option in frequently being enable and disable, then doing this way might be just waste, rather than using the camera app. For that you can use the third party apps like Camera+ that can let you easily enable and disable the grids.
