This is not complicated any one with just commensence can easily do this, and for that all you need is an, Apple TV 2’s power cable, silver aluminum remote, a micro USB cable and the downloaded tools. If you still if you have not downloaded the files yet please download it now by clicking here, i have provided both the versions for MAC (10.6 or later) and PC (XP or later) So let's get started.

Note that : This works under the help of .Net Framework . Advicable to install .Net version 4.0.30319 in getting error reports

Step 1

open the downloaded zip file and extract it to a proper location. 

Now open the .exe file and click open the application. If you hav not installed a version of iTunes they migth be asking to istall one. If so just press ok and proceed.

Step 2

To activate the jailbreak app just click on the "Create IPSW" option that will activate automaticly. Now the Seas0nPass will begin to download the Apple TV 5.2.1 IPSW file and creates a jailbreak version of it. Wen it done, you will be asked to put your device in DFU mode.

Step 3

{Entering the DFU mode is just irritating for the first time jailbreaker. All you need to do now is just to follow the guidelines and you wont find any problems entering the DFU Mode next time.}

Plugin the Power cable and the micro USB cable to your Apple TV. Now wait for the front light to start glowing and before its being processed at tge same time press the Play and Menu buttons for 8 secoonds. Here you need to use the silver remote and not the plastic one. So one your front light of the Apple TV Starts blinking constatly, then now you have entered your Apple TV 2 in the DFU mode.

Step 4

Now your PC or Mac is currently in connection with the Apple TV 2 in the DFU Mode. Now the itunes will launch and take over for a few stages of the tethered jailbreak. Shockingly you might see a bunch of 1500+ errors after beging the restoration process. It's just a sign that your jailbreak has been performed correctly and is completed now.

Step 5

 Before you start using your Jailbroken Apple TV, you will have to perform a few steps new steps to to set top box on tetherboot.

For that follow these steps:

1. If the seas0nPass Jailbreak wizaed had closed after the jailbreak complete message, you will have to click the Seas0nPass Jailbreak file again and select "Boot Tethered" this time.

2. USe the Micro USB cable to connect your Apple TV to your MAC or PC and put the box ib DFU mode again. For that please follow the steps that we mentioned in the Step 3. While you are in the DFU Mode this time as the same as the last time iTunes will headover to the Apple TV 2 again during the tetherd jailbreak.

3. Carefully without making and disturbace for the power cable remove the USB cable from the PC or MAC.

4. No finally connect your Apple TV 2's HDMI cable, set your prefered language and Just select "No thanks" if you don't need to read their pilicy page when if its displayed over to you.

Finaly

On your Apple TV 2's home screen you will see the XBMC Firecore icon, so you do see it, then congrats: you have succesfully performed a tethered Jailbreak for your Apple TV 2 iOS 5.2.1
