Rooting Steps
Before you start
Enable debugging on your device
This is done by going through Settings>Applications>Development and by clicking on the checkmark for debugging.
Make sure that your device in running on Android 2.3.5
go to Settings>About phone>Android Version and check. If you are not running 2.3.5 go to the top of "About phone" and click on "System updates" and update your phone.
So lets Proceed after the above process being successfully validated!
Step 1 - Go to Google Play store and get the SuperUser app by ChainsDD.
Go to Superuser on Google Play ( Direct Link )
Once the app is installed it may ask you to update the binaries. Just ignore it for now as you cant do that until your device is rooted.
Step 2 - Create a folder called root in the C drive by itself.
Now, download the ADB Package and the Torpedo file, too. Extract the ADB package .zip file to the "Root" folder you created in the C drive. Move the Torpedo file there, too. You're almost done!
Plug in your phone to the computer via USB. In the USB settings set it to charge only, that seems to help with reliability. The computer might say "installing device drivers". Let that finish.
Step 3 - Now you are there in somewhere feels tricky, don't worry its just nothing! trust me
Open command prompt (Start menu search cmd or Ctrl-Windows key and type cmd)

Type this in the command prompt (NOTE: there is stuff in between but these are the only lines that you type and press enter on, including the /data/tmp/install-su.sh at the bottom; see the picture for clarification.)
cd C:\Root
adb push photon-torpedo.tar /data/tmp
adb shell
cd /data/tmp
/bin/tar xf /data/tmp/photon-torpedo.tar
/data/tmp/photon-torpedo.sh
/data/tmp/install-su.sh
You will get an error message after you type /data/tmp/photon-torpedo.sh
The error message will say this.
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libpcprofile.so' cannot be loaded as audit interface: unde
fined symbol: la_version; ignored.
Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again.
Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
at X.Org Wiki - Home
for help.
ddxSigGiveUp: Closing log
bash: groups: command not found
root@localhost:/data/tmp#
All you do now is simply type /data/tmp/install-su.sh and hit enter.
You are done!
Step 4 - Download Root Checker app from Google Play Store, which is an app by joeykrim.
So if it shows your device has root access!
Then there is nothing else, you have successfully completed your rooting process!
To find if there is any mistakes you can check out as the Superuser app may come ip soon after saying that your binaries are outdated!
Just click on that and that's all!
