Install Leaked Official Android 4.3 ROM On Samsung Galaxy Note II


As the new version of Android is on and the latest Samsung devices has already getting Android 4.3 updates. Its a fact about Samsung's updates that the newer devices get such updates before they are pushed out to older ones and this is also same about Samung Galaxy Note II. And if you really want to get the updates before official release you can get them for your Note II via OTA, The latest official (TouchWiz) firmware for the the International variant of the device (GT-N7100) based on Android 4.3 ROM and codenamed XXUEMJ5 has been leaked by SamMobile, and you can install it right away.

Please do note that this leaked info is a test version of firmware and some things may be broken in it. Also do note that this is only for international GSM variant of the Note II codenamed GT-N7100, and will not suit in any other versions. And also being an official firmware installing it will not lose you your binary counter nor your void warranty.

Procedure


1. To be on the safer side, backup all your data  from your phone and internal SD card to some external medium like external SD card or PC.


2. Download Odin v3.09 as well as the leaked firmware from the links provided above, extract the contents of both the downloaded ZIP files, and place all the extracted files into the same folder.


3. Launch Odin, leave everything else exactly as it is, press the AP button and select the file named N7100XXUEMJ5_N7100OLBEMJ4_N7100XXUEMJ5_HOME.tar.md5. Double-check to make sure that Re-Partition is not checked.


4. Power your phone off off, and then restart it in Download mode by pressing and holding Home, Volume Down and Power keys.


5. Connect your phone to your PC via USB. If everything is done properly, you should see one of the boxes in Odin’s top section light up in blue.


6. Click Start and wait while Odin flashes the firmware, making sure not to disconnect the USB or interrupt the process on the PC or the phone.

Then we are done here, after rebooting your Galaxy Note II should be running Android 4.3. And in case of issues such as crashes, force-closes or boot loops etc., perform a factory reset from recovery. Just follow the steps below to do so:

1. Firstly power the phone off and reboot it into recovery by pressing and holding Home, Volume Up and Power buttons.


2. Go to wipe data/factory reset using the volume keys and select it by pressing the power key. Note that this will wipe all your data, including everything on your SD card.


3. Reboot your phone.
