Dubbed Immersive mode is a new full screen mode introduced in Android 4.4 Kitkat by Google. This feature can be used on devices with an on-screen navigation bar to automatically kicks in certain apps and games and hides the notification and navigation bar. It can be then revealed by users by using a simple up/down gesture.
Unfortunate for the developers as this mode is to be updated for their apps and games, meanwhile many of the popular apps and games are already under their full updation, majority still lacks the support for Immersive mode. You can force Immersive mode in the system and apps if you use a custom ROM but your Android device will get down and dirty.

Fortunately by using a simple app - Immersive full -screen mode from the play store it is possible to enjoy this mode in all your apps even without the need to flash the custom ROM or rooting your device. Across all apps on any Android device running Kitkat and throughout the system, the Immersive mode can be forced by using the Immersive full-screen mode app which was developed by Pieter Pareit. This app can be simply installed and then turn the Immersive mode button to on, this working of this app does not need any type of hackery. Some of the options of this app seems to be handy, like the ability to enable the Immersive mode only for certain apps and games. The status bar can be made visible during Immersive mode through this app.
But unfortunately, when the Immersive mode is enabled the keyboard may not pop up in some apps, this may be an unintended disadvantage of the security in Android.Using the whitelist to enable Immersive mode for certain selected apps is the only way to overcome this problem.
Immersive Full Screen mode can be downloaded from the play store for $1.37
