Many of you may be experimenting with your iOS devices by changing themes, installing tweaks and doing all sorts of tinkering as the (evasion jailbreak)for the devices running iOS 6.1/6.0 is out. But due to the lack of a jailbreak since a long time unfortunately the developers had not got enough time to make sure that their tweaks work properly without any glitches on iOS 6.x. Unfortunately installing certain tweaks cause some undesirable behavior such as crashes or endless reboot cycles.
So here are some simple ways to solve these problems
Hard Reboot
You know that a hard reset can solve most of the problems even on non-jailbroken phones. Hard reset can be done by pressing and holding the home and sleep/wake/power button simultaneously for a few seconds until when the apple logo appears again. This can help you if you are stuck in an app which is in an unresponsive state. Hard reboot comes in handy when your iPhone becomes completely unresponsive to both touch inputs and to the sleep/wake button.
Use volume up trick to fix endless reboot cycle
Sometimes a broken or incompatible jailbreak tweak can cause your jailbroken iOS device to get stuck in an endless reboot loop. You may find your hard reboot solution to be ineffective in such situations because when iOS boots up, the tweaks tries to run again. This problem can be solved easily by keeping the volume up button pressed when your iOS button is booting up and you will be able to see the lock screen again. Then you can uninstall the tweak which is responsible for the problems by opening cydia.
You can also use the clicker button (not volume up) on your headphones or earphones if the volume up button is not working in your iOS devices.
You may wonder what happens when the volume up button is pressed. Mobile substrate is a framework which was developed by keeping in mind that things could go wrong if you mess up with the system internals. Most of the system tweaks depend on the mobile substrate.Mobile substrate gets disabled entirely when you press the volume up button, so that the problematic tweak cannot load and thus allowing your iOS device to go past the apple logo. In order to fix horrible broken jailbreak tweaks and apps, this (safe mode feature) was added for mobile substrate by Saurik last year.
