Feel The Wheel Allows You to Control Windows Opacity And Size With The Mouse Wheel

Windows provides us a wide array of useful applications available for it. Feel The Wheel is a freeware application for Windows operating system. This application allows you to add transparency effect to the window as well as to resize it through hotkey. With the help of this app you can easily control the overall opacity of the window on the desktop such that you can easily preview any opened window beside it and resize it with you mouse scroll wheel.

Feel The Wheel is a portable program and it can be easily downloaded from the developers website to your computer. In order for it to come into effect, it needs to be executed first. Once launched, it starts running in the background and it does not show any system tray icon.

You can use this application for two purposes.First, you can control the window transparency and second, you can resize it through the mouse scroll wheel. The resize option seems to be more easier to use. To do that, you have to open a window and move the mouse pointer on to the title bar. It is demonstrated in the following photo. Then you have to simply scroll the mouse wheel to adjust its size according to your wish. You can increase the window size by scrolling the mouse wheel upwards and decrease it by scrolling the mouse wheel downwards. One of the disadvantage is that you cannot specify custom resize accuracy level.

To control the opacity of the window, first you need to move the mouse pointer to the title bar and press the Shift key on your keyboard. Then you can simply scroll to adjust the transparency. You can make your window more opaque by scrolling upwards and scrolling downwards will increase the transparency level. If you want to quickly look behind a window without minimizing it, the transparency option will be of great use.

This nice little application works efficiently on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
