How to Jailbreak iOS 6.1.5, iOS 6.1.4, iOS 6.1.3 with p0sixspwn using Windows/Mac


iH8sn0w, SquiffyPwn and winocm had released the p0sixspwn : jailbreak for iOS 6.1.5 - iOS 6.1.3 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Now i will help you figure out the steps to Jailbreak your iPhone, iPad, or the iPod touch users on iOS 6.1.5 - iOS 6.1.3 using the p0sixspwn for both the Windows and Mac users.

Before you proceed follow the important points to get started.

This instructions are prescribed only for iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and that too also on the iOS 6.1.3 - iOS 6.1.5 (Find your version here : Settings >> General >> About > Version). For those whom are here with the iOS 7.x or later Please check Jailbreak or subscribe to us for the present updates.

Since jailbreak is something that voids your warranty, proceed at your own risk and caution.

p0sixspwn performs an untethered jailbreak.

Requirements :

p0sixspwn presently supports only those devices that are powered on iOS 6.1.3 - iOS 6.1.5

iPhones : 3GS, 4, 4S, 5
iPod touch : 4G, 5G
iPad : 2, 3, 4, mini

Your machine should be on Mac OS X 10.6 + on Windows.

Before you proceed, checkout if you missed some of these:

Backup your device: Using iTunes

Please unpick the Encrypt iPhone (iPad/iPod touch) and the Backup option in the iTunes are temporarily meant for the jailbreak process, so don't forget to enable it after you've successfully jailbroken your device.

Disable all the pass codes on yor iOS device temporarily for the Jailbreak process. (Settings >> General >> Pass code Lock –> Turn Pass code Off). You can re assign those locks once you have completed the jailbreak process successfully.

Step By Step Process:

Step 1 : Download the latest version of your p0sixspwn jailbreak [Official Download]

Step 2 : Now double click file and extract the application. [Mac users]

For those whom are using the Windows Based machines, Please note that if you run directly from the zip, it does not work. So firstly you need to extract the zip on to your Desktop or C:\. And Note that you need to right click on the .exe file and select "Run as Administrator" option.

Step 3 : Once you have launched the p0sixspwn, you will be promoted to connect your iOS device.

Step 4 : Now connect your iOS device to the computer, once the machine detects the device the p0sixspwn will display your device model and the iOS firmware that in running on the device.

Step 5 : Now just click on the Jailbreak button.



Step 6 : Once you have clicked on the Jailbreak button, the tool will show the progress as like the following

Connecting to device …
Getting payload files from Apple .. (If this fails, your internet connection has issues…)
Gathering information to generate jailbreak data…
Sending initial data … [You will see Restore in Progress on your iOS device]
Waiting to reboot. Do not unplug your device.
Waiting for device… [You will see this after the device has rebooted]
Remounting root…
Sending Cydia and untether payload to the device… [After sometime it will reboot the device]
Your device is now jailbroken, it now preparing to reboot automatically.

Step 7 : When its back after a rebbot, you're Done!

If you are successfully Jailbroken your device then you might surely see the Cydia icon on the home screen. { Just look for the other pages also if you din't find on the first page }

[In certain cases reboot is not required, and you would find your device Jailbroken]
