How to Jailbreak iOS 7.0.6 using Evasi0n [Updated + Details]

Apple released the iOS 7.0.6 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, which had fixed one major security issue.


So, if you've updated your iOS to v 7.0.6, then check this guide which could help you to Jailbreak your iOS device that is working on iOS 7.0.6 using evasi0n7 v1.0.6 which was officially released by the evad3rs.

Before you start, make sure you follow these checkouts.

This tuturiol only guides the steps for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch that is presently running in iOS 7.0.6 . Know your present version { Settings -> General -> About – Version } If not so please check our Jailbreak Page or better not to perfom an experiment!

evasi0n perfomrs an unthethered version of Jailbreak.

This version of evasi0n supports only these devices that is listed below.

iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4
iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air
iPad mini, Retina iPad mini
iPod touch 5G

You may also use this guide to jailbroke your iPad and iPod touch 5G with evasion7 as well.

Check if your iTunes is up to date! else, update to the latest.

Ensure you have backup your device using iTunes before you proceed.

If you have encrypt the bakup, then disable it temporarly by uncheking "Encrypt - Device - backup" option in iTunes. And don't forget to enable the option once you've successfully jailbroken your device.

Jailbreak your device can void your device warrenty so proceed with caution and at your personal risk!

Please dont use the jailbreak to pirate apps from the app store.

Caution!

It's heard that this version have some issues, so you may want to wait untill the evad3rs to release an update which fixes the bugs/

Steps

Step 1 : Download the evasion7 1.0.6 for Windows | Mac (Official Link) and save it in a folder named "evasi0n" on to your desktop.

Step 2 : Once downloaded, just extract the files to the folder and open the app.

Windows users : Right click on the .exe file and select "Run as Administrator" option from the menu.

Step 3 : Ensure that you have removed the passcodes as it can cause the Jailbreak to fail. { Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock On -> Turn Passcode Off}

Step 4 : After launching evasi0n, you will be asked to connect your iOS device.

Step 5 : Now the evasion should detect it and it will also mention the iOS firmware that it is running on it. So if the version is not the same as we mentioned ( iOS 7.0.6 ) Please stop now!

Else

Press the Jailbreak button!

Step 6 : Once you have clicked the button, the evasi0n will show a progress update on these stages mentioned below.

Retrieving remote package
Uploading jailbreak data
Injecting evasion app (1/2)
Injecting evasion app (2/2)
Configuring system (1/2)
Configuring system (2/2)
Rebooting device

Now wait patiently while the jailbreak process is on. Please don't start the iTunes or Xcode in the meanwhile.

Step 7 : Once your device is rebooted, you will be asked to unlock it. Now do not clode the evasi0n application.

Step 8 : Unlock your device and then tap open the evasi0n7 app. (app with the evasi0n7 icon)



Step 9 : When you launch the app, the screen will go white and reboot again.

Step 10 : Now the remaining jailbreak process will take place on your iOS device. Now the device will reboot after you, and you can find a evasi0n logo with the messages with the status of the Jailbreak process as :

Reading kernel
Calculating offsets
Setting up packages
Setting up Cydia
Continuing with boot

Step 11 : After its rebooted, you're now done!



Now the device has been successfully jailbroken and you should be able to find the Cydia icon on your device's home screen. (If you don't find it on the first page, then search over to lacate it!)
