Most of us may had experienced a situation where you want to show something on your phone to someone, but without allowing them to access our personal data. There are many third-party apps which can help this out. LG G3 has a built-in feature to help this out. Guest mode on LG G3 lets you give others limited access to your phone.

You can probably find the Guest Mode in one of the two places based on how you have got your LG G3 configured. If you are using the list view, then you can find the Guest mode from Settings > Personal > Guest mode. If you are in tabbed mode, then it's Settings> General > Privacy > Guest mode.

You can use the toggle at the top-right to turn on Guest mode. Also set up a lock screen security and a backup pin, if you hadn't done it before. LG G3's Guest mode secures your phone using a pattern, PIN or knock code and with a second pattern or code which gives limited access to your device.

Remember that giving Guest mode access to an app allows to see all its data. For example, if you allow access to your messaging app in the Guest mode, it let others to see all your messages and to send messages as you do. Similar is the deal with Gmail too. But access to the Gallery does not show all its folders and photos to others. The Gallery shows only the 'Guest Album'. Guest album is created when you take a photo in the Guest mode. If you want any other photos to be visible in the Guest mode, then you will have to definitely copy it to the guest album. The phone app also does not reveal all its contents- it just shows the basic dialer. No contacts or no history will be displayed.
Guests cannot customize your phone in any way. Still you can change the wallpaper for guest mode from the settings menu. To leave Guest mode, press your power button to lock your phone and then unlock it with the normal code or pattern. Then you will get full access to your LG G3.
