Review Of Street Racing 2 - A Simple Racing Game

Google Play has got a variety of racing games for driving fans. The choices range from the Burnoutesque Asphalt series to the ultimate need for speed. But not everyone is a fan of feature-laden racing simulators. Street Racing 2 can provide you a quick arcade session either on your way to work or on the road. The main attraction of this game is its fast paced gameplay and its intuitive controls which helps you to quickly drift through the 8 difficult tracks, wreck cars and reach your finish line.

DESIGN

This game consists of 8 racing tracks but unfortunately there is not much options for the car selection. Even though the navigation and menus are petty, the game HUD consists of an on-screen controls to steer the car. apply brake and for accelerating. Another feature of this game is the NOS button. The speed of your car can be increased more than the actual speed for a limited time just by tapping on this NOS button. The 3D graphics is another plus point of this simple game. The skyscrapers seen in the first track and the detailed backdrops add  to the beauty of this game.

GAMEPLAY

You can select your car model and its color from the home screen by simply tapping the selector buttons to the right and you can shuffle through the available options. The single player mode is pretty basic and this game does not have any additional settings. You can start the game by tapping the Start Race option.

Street Racing 2 is very active with good response. The AI is quite aggressive and sometimes scrap your cars paint. Your car can get damaged from crashes and while hitting other cars. This can adversely affect your car performance and this at times leave your car useless in extreme situations. If you deviate from your main path or in any other situations, you can reset your car by tapping the R button. The radar which is located at the upper left corner can show you the upcoming turns.

As usual your main goal is to reach the finish line before your opponents. When you finish a race, a stats screen is instantly displayed. Depending upon the position you got, the stats screen displays your total race and your best lap times.

Car games increase in number everyday. Even though Street Racing 2 is not the best game of its kind, it is a simple and interesting game to have fun. Street Racing 2 can be installed from the Play Store for free.
