Not like all other platform updates Nokia comes with just one click download and update without cables, and for that all you need is the phone and an internet connection. Note that this update shall be compatible only for Nokia Asha and Series 40 Phones.

So, How to update your phone ?
Nokia's (OTS) or Update wirelessly let you update your (Nokia Asha or Series 40 Phones) wirelessly over the Air. So if you are having a wifi connection you can easily download the updates more faster and cheaper on to your phone and one click update your phone without any help of your computer or being pluged some where! and thats sounds more easy.

So where to find the update?

Step 1. For most phones: Menu>Settings>Phone>Device updates

Step 2. Slect "downl.phone sw". If you have any new update, it will notify you or else its clear that you are uptodate if the internet connection is fine! If new update was found, follow the update instructions shown on your phone screen.

After the update you can check your current phone software version by dialing *#0000#. There can be more than one consequent update available, so you may need to repeat the steps to get to the latest software version.

Note: Its recomented that you may use a wifi connection as i mentoned as its much faster and cheaper accordigly with the service plan you are having.
