How to Root the Motorola Droid Pro [Root Guide] - From Android 2.3 Gingerbread to Jelly Bean


Unfortunately for the Motorola Droid Pro users there was no further updates regarding the device, meanwhile other device with the same specification as that of the Droid Pro are using ICS and Jelly Bean, Motorola's Droid Pro is still on Android 2.3 Jelly Bean. So feeling to get your Motorola Droid Pro into a Root ed Device ? Then i may recommend you in doing so as, Rooting helps you keep updated to superior features like ability to install root only apps, and even to uninstall system files and protected unwanted stock apps.

Step I

Step 1 - Note that rooting your device voids the warranty of the Device. How ever can retain the warranty only if you had successfully Unrooted the Device from Root Mode.

Step 2 - Retain at least 50 % of the total battery charge before you start!


Step 3 - Download these files Prescribed below


Step II

Step 4 - Download and place the z4Root APK file onto your Desktop.

Step 5 - Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.


Step 6 - Copy the APK file over to the root of your SD card. It’s the topmost folder.


Step 7 - Once copied, unplug your device from your PC.


Step 8 - Open the File Manager app on your device and install the APK you copied earlier.


Step 9 - Once installed, launch it from your App Drawer.


Step 10 - Tap on Root button in the app and it’ll start rooting your device.


Step 11 - Once it’s done, reboot your device.


Step 12 - That's it you're Done Rooting Your Device!




You will find an app installed on your device namely Superuser that lets you allow/deny root permissions to other apps!
