Big surprise by the team evad3rs for everyone with the release of evasi0n7 jailbreak for the iOS 7, including the creators of Cydua, Jay Freeman aka saurik. Unfortunately MobileSubstrate could have issues on with the new jailbreak. Meanwhile freeman complained that he was not given with the early builds of the evasi0n, as so he couldn't ensure that the MobileSubstrate was working fine, also he wasn't being asked for an official Cydia build for the iOS 7, and that included Cydia in thhe evasi0n was "unofficial" pod2g, a member of the evad3rs team whom said that they are working on a fix for the MobileSubstrate issue could be delivered as an 1.x update for the evais0n7. Tweaks relying on mobilesubstrate have issues with early release of evasi0n. Keep away from that for the moment, we're working on a fix. — pod2g (@pod2g) December 22, 2013 So, I got no lead time on evasi0n7, nor was I asked for an official iOS 7 Cydia; I was not given builds...

The one's whom are waiting for the untethered jailbreak for the iOS 6.1.3 - iOS 6.1.5, this might be something for you. iH8sn0w and the winocm had tweeted out a video that shows off an untethered jailbroken iPod touch 5G that is running on the iOS 6.1.3 . This video shows Cydia which is running on the iPod touch 5G and used the jailbreak tweak SB settings in changing the brightness and Prompt - an SSH client to connect as a root. Here they also restarted then jailbroken iPod touch to show that the jailbreak is an untethered version. As per iH8sn0w, has clarified that the untethered jailbreak works on the iOS 6.1.3 - 6.1.5, and should also be working on all the compatible devices except for the Apple TV 3. Previously they said that the priority for the untethered Jailbreak for the A5+ devices had been lowered, as the vulnerabilities that they had planned to use for the Jailbreak are still working for the iOS 7 and now they are preserving them as this might be useful in...

Over the last month pod2g, being a key member of the evad3rs dismissed rumors that the iOS 7 Jailbreak has been stolen. But as per the movement for the iOS 7 Jailbreak pod2g said that “the jailbreak stuff is moving on, but slowly.” So you may please move slow in updating your iOS 7.x to 7.1 if you feel you want to have the jailbreak. Developer of the most popular Jailbreak tools Sn0wbreeze, iH8sn0w tweeted that the iOS 7 beta patches “the mobilebackup2 exploit to write to /var via the MediaDomain symlink” when asked f it was safe n upgrading to iOS 7.1 @iH8sn0w What are your thoughts on IOS 7.1 beta 2 ? Worth upgrading ? Will it affect JB ? — shashwat ashiya (@AshiyaShashwat) December 15, 2013 Not sure being if this might be a major setback for Jailbreakers, Mean while reddit user phonenixdev explains : Mobilebackup2 is the system used to generate your user backups, as well as place them back on the phone. But it’s designed for only particular folders in the user d...

Waiting for the iOS 7 Jailbreak ever since the Apple released it's software update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on September. Over the past days team Evad3rs as you all know have released evais0n Jailbreak for the iOS 6 - iOS 6.1.3 now being confirmed that they are now working on the iOS 7 version of Jailbreak. Presently they have added an incentive for releasing the iOS 7 Jailbreak and not that alone as they needed one. They have launched a website called the iosios7jailbrokenyet to crowd fund the device freedom prize for the hacker or hackers who release a Jailbreak for the iOS 7 first. And this explains why ? We strongly believe that users should have the freedom to control their devices. We wanted an open source jailbreak for iOS 7, giving users the capability to install what they want on their own devices and the ability to audit the code they’re using to do so. Jailbreaking is also critical to ensuring that the disabled are able to use their mobile...

Apple released the iOS 7.0.4 earlier this month with a bug fix for an issue with the FaceTime calls, with other issues reported so far before the release of this version iOS 7.0.4 . The Musclenerd, member of the evad3rs team who is working on with the iOS 7 Jailbreak, said that the update is safe for those of you who plan in Jailbreaking your Devices, if you are being presently on iOS 7 already. He prescribed that those users who're on the Jailbroken iOS 6 should still avoid the iOS 7.0.4 since there's no way in going back. As Tweeted by Musclenerd : Those at 7.x waiting for JB, maybe treat 7.0.4 as exercise in restraint. Won’t affect JB if you slip up, but test your ability to avoid it! — MuscleNerd (@MuscleNerd) November 14, 2013 …but for those enjoying the 6.x JB, avoid 7.0.4 . There’s no going back (always worth saying that for sake of JB newbies) — MuscleNerd (@MuscleNerd) November 14, 2013 Even though the evad3rs team appears to have all the pieces fo...

Planetbeing had brought us some of the best news on the iOS 7 Jailbreak front, as they just tweeted that they're working hard on the iOS Jailbreak and may have all the pieces for it. But he does go in telling that he is not certain yet. We're still working hard on the jailbreak. May have all the pieces at this point (but not certain yet). — planetbeing (@planetbeing) October 2, 2013 But soon after the iOS 7 being released, the planetbeing confirmed that the evad3rs developer team is working on a Jailbreak. Last week, pod2g had also said that he was increasingly confident that they will be able to jailbreak iOS 7. And the time has not yet reached in asking about the ETA as it looks like there is still more work under progress. IF they release the Jailbreak immediately, or shall wait for the Apple to relase iOS 7.1, which was expected to be released on the last month with the launch of the new iPads.
